Activate Debug Output in IC Capture, IC Imaging Control 3.5

The causes of some error messages in IC Capture and IC Imaging Control 3.5 are very difficult to determine. In particular, the reasons for the “Startlive failed” or “The live mode could not be started...” error messages are difficult to obtain. It is possible to get a debug output from IC in a text file. Please add following entry in the registry at

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\The Imaging Source Europe GmbH\IC3.0]

"LibraryLogLevel"=dword:ffff0041

"LibraryLogFile"=dword:00000001

If debug output is enabled, IC Imaging Control will create a file named "debug_output.txt" in the directory where the application is stored or in c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\

Please send that file to The Imaging Source for analysis. The log file is an ASCII file which can be opened with any text editors.

. In order to stop logging, delete the "LibraryLogLevel" and "LibraryLogFile" keys.
